Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong exposure to crusher and screening equipment. The role involves end-to-end mechanical design, improvement of existing products, and support to manufacturing, assembly, and field service teams. The candidate should have solid knowledge of heavy equipment design, structures, and moving mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors, and related equipment
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication and assembly
• Perform design calculations for structures, shafts, bearings, gears, fasteners, and wear parts
• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, reliability, and cost targets
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities
• Work closely with manufacturing, SCM, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization
• Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing, assembly, and site commissioning
• Implement design improvements, standardization, and value engineering initiatives
• Coordinate with suppliers for technical discussions, drawings, and component finalization
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and revision control
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and internal design guidelines

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of crusher and screening equipment design (Jaw, Cone, Impact, VSI, Screens, Feeders, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with structural fabrication, heavy assemblies, and rotating equipment
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor / CATIA) and AutoCAD
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, casting, and heat treatment
• Knowledge of material selection, wear liners, and surface treatments
• Ability to perform basic strength and fatigue calculations
• Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.Tech / BE)
• Diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered

Preferred Experience

• OEMs in Crushing & Screening / Mining / Aggregate / Heavy Equipment
• Exposure to mobile and track-mounted equipment is an added advantage
